This archival print is taken from an original watercolour painted from beautiful smelling specimens found in Sharjah, UAE.
Henna leaves are crushed to produce the brown dye used in the intricate pattern work, drawn onto hands for special occasions.
The painting was completed for the book ‘Plants of the Qur’an, History and Culture’, published by The Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, London.
A non-fade 12 colour pigment ink printing process is crafted onto archival museum quality 100% cotton rag 270 gsm acid and lignin free art paper. This print will last for many years, but avoid direct exposure to sunlight.
Prints are accompanied by the certificate of Authenticity, signed by the artist.
