Al ‘āqūl

Alhagi graecorum

Alhagi is a genus of plants in the family Fabaceae. Known in Arabic as al ‘āqūl, they are commonly called camelthorns or manna trees.

Used as a medicinal herb, it is mentioned in the Qur’ān as a source of the sweet manna.
